Gallatin has grown up fast. The Sumner County seat started around a town square in the early 1800s, and today its roads carry commuters to Hendersonville and Nashville, students to Vol State and families out to Old Hickory Lake. I'm Dustin Rodgers with Rodgers Insurance Agency. I work with Gallatin drivers by phone and email, and in person whenever you'd like to come by. My goal is simple: help you understand your auto coverage well enough to feel good about it.

Car Insurance Coverage for Gallatin Drivers

Highway commutes, college schedules and lake weekends all shape what Gallatin drivers ask me about. Here's what each coverage can do:

Liability

Can help pay for injuries to others and damage to their property when you're at fault in a covered accident. Tennessee requires it, and many SR-386 and I-65 commuters consider higher limits.

Uninsured and underinsured motorist

Can help protect you and your passengers if the at-fault driver has little or no insurance.

Comprehensive

Can help with covered losses that aren't collisions, such as hail, wind-blown debris, falling trees, theft, vandalism or a deer strike.

Collision

Can help pay to repair or replace your vehicle after a covered collision with another vehicle or object.

Rental car coverage

Can help with transportation costs while your car is repaired after a covered claim.

Roadside assistance

Can help with towing, flat tires, lockouts and dead batteries, whether you're on Nashville Pike or a back road near the lake.

Medical payments

Can help with medical costs for you and your passengers after a covered accident.

Coverage availability, limits and terms vary by policy. Ask me what makes sense for your vehicles.

Ways to Fit Your Policy to Your Household

A college student at home, a second car for the Park & Ride, a house near Station Camp Creek: every household is a little different. Options and discounts depend on your drivers, vehicles and other policies. Ask me which of these may be available to you:

  • Bundling auto with home, renters or other policies
  • Insuring several household vehicles together
  • Good-student and safe-driving programs
  • Vehicle safety features
  • Payment and paperless options

Discounts and coverages are subject to eligibility, may vary by state, and are not available on every policy.

Why Gallatin Drivers Choose a Local Middle Tennessee Agent

  • A real person who picks up the phone: call or email my office, or come by in person during office hours.
  • Coverage explained in plain English: I'll walk you through each option before you decide.
  • Your whole household, together: auto, home, renters, umbrella and life can all be reviewed in one conversation.
  • Help after an accident: my office can help you understand the next steps if you have a claim.
  • Reviews as life changes: a new driver, a new commute or a move within Sumner County are good times to revisit your policy.

“Dustin always makes sure I have all the needed coverage in the most cost-effective way. He reviews my policies at least annually and will move me to another company if it saves me money. He is helpful and supportive when I’ve had to make claims in stressful situations. Excellent agent.”

“I've been insured through Dustin for years. Recently was involved in an accident and though the accident itself was terrible, I was met with so much kindness and responsiveness, especially by Marjorie. Marjorie, Thomas, and Dustin were all quick to respond, answer questions, and walk me through the entire process. What otherwise could have been a very stressful ordeal, was seamless and I'm so thankful for what they do.”

“Fantastic!!!! Relocated to TN from IL. Our Agents office referred us to Dustin. When I called to have an initial discussion regarding dual households, his staff member was friendly, helpful and calming. We have a lot of moving parts. Dustin took my call right away. Walked me through options, assisted with setting us up with a policy for immediate needs. Great introduction, looking forward to Dustin and his Team being our new agent. Thank you!”
Paul K., Google review
“Dustin was wonderful to work with. He was very helpful, patient, and understanding throughout our many-month home buying process, which included multiple attempts before we finally closed on "the one." He really helped us to make the best decision for our family and financial investment on a property located in a flood zone that we ended up cancelling. Dustin, along with everyone in his office, is always professional, friendly, and responsive, and we feel confident that he will work hard for us if we ever need to file a claim.”

Gallatin Auto Insurance FAQ

Can an agent based in Mt. Juliet insure drivers in Gallatin?

Yes. My office is at 1982 Providence Pkwy, Ste 257, in Mt. Juliet, and I work with drivers across Middle Tennessee, including Gallatin and the rest of Sumner County. Tennessee auto policies follow the same state rules everywhere. Most clients handle things by phone or email, and you can visit in person anytime.

I commute on Vietnam Veterans Blvd or I-65. What coverage should I think about?

Heavy commuter traffic is a good reason to review your liability limits, collision coverage, uninsured motorist coverage and rental car coverage. Each one does a different job after an accident. I'll explain them in plain language so you can choose the protection that fits your drive and your budget.

My teenager is starting classes at Vol State. How do we handle their car?

Adding a new driver is a great time to review the whole policy. It depends on who owns the car and who drives it. Call me when your teen gets a permit or license, and we'll talk through coverage choices and any good-student options that may be available.

What are Tennessee's minimum auto insurance requirements?

Tennessee requires liability coverage of at least $25,000 per person for injury or death, $50,000 per accident for total injury or death, and $25,000 per accident for property damage. Those are minimums. If you have a loan or lease, your lender may also require collision and comprehensive coverage.

Does car insurance cover storm damage to my car?

Comprehensive coverage can help with covered weather damage, such as hail, wind-blown debris or a tree falling on your car. Liability alone doesn't cover damage to your own vehicle. Since Middle Tennessee sees its share of spring storms, it's worth checking whether your policy includes comprehensive and what your deductible is.

I ride the WeGo express from the Gallatin Park & Ride. Should I update my policy?

It's a good idea to let me know. If you're driving fewer miles or your car spends weekdays parked, that's worth noting. Call my office, tell me how your routine has changed, and we'll review whether your coverage still fits the way you actually drive now.

What if an uninsured driver hits me?

Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage can help pay for your injuries and, depending on your policy, your vehicle damage when the at-fault driver doesn't have enough insurance. It's worth understanding before you pick your limits, so I'll explain how it works on a Tennessee policy and help you decide.

Can I bundle my Sumner County home and auto insurance?

Yes. You can bundle auto with home, renters or other policies, so one agent can look at all of your coverage together. A multi-policy discount may be available, depending on your policies and eligibility. I'll explain what applies to you before you make any changes, with no obligation.

How do I get a quote or meet with you?
