Our commitment
Rodgers Insurance Agency is a local agency in Mt. Juliet, and we work with people one at a time. Our website should be as easy to use as a phone call or a visit to the office. We consider accessibility when we design, write and update pages.
The standard we aim for
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 AA is our target. We can't say that every page meets every guideline at all times, and this statement isn't a guarantee or a certification of conformance.
What we've done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) and a "Skip to main content" link.
- You can reach every link, button and form field with a keyboard, and the focus outline stays visible.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have visible labels, and form messages are announced to screen readers.
- Text and buttons are designed with color contrast in mind, and nothing depends on color alone.
- Pages work when zoomed up to 200% and on small screens, and you can still pinch to zoom.
- The site respects your device's "reduce motion" setting.
- Phone numbers are tap-to-call links, so you can reach us in one step.
- We tested these pages with automated accessibility checks (axe-core) before publishing.
Known limitations
Some parts of the experience are outside our control:
- Maps and directions open in Google Maps, and our Facebook page is hosted by Facebook. Those sites have their own accessibility features and limits.
