This policy explains what information our website, rodgersinsagency.com, collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and in plain language. If anything is unclear, call us at 615-562-5100. Our contact details are at the end.
Who we are
Rodgers Insurance Agency is a local insurance agency in Mt. Juliet, TN, run by Dustin Rodgers. We offer insurance from the insurance companies we represent.
In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Rodgers Insurance Agency. This policy covers our website and the quote requests sent through it. Once you apply for or buy a policy, the insurance company’s own privacy notice also applies (see Insurance company privacy notices).
The short version
- We use Google Analytics, and you can opt out. It helps us see which pages help people find us. A short notice on the site explains it. Choose Decline (opt out) there or under Cookie settings, and analytics turns off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics stays off automatically.
- We never send your name, phone number, email, ZIP code or notes to Google Analytics.
- No ad tracking. We don’t use Facebook/Meta pixels, Google Ads tags, remarketing or call-tracking numbers.
- Quote requests come to us, and we use them to contact you about your quote.
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share your mobile number or text opt-in with other companies for their marketing.
Information you give us
Quote request forms. When you send a quote request, we collect:
- your name and phone number (required) and ZIP code (required)
- your email address (optional)
- the coverage you’re interested in and the best time to call
- on our business insurance pages, your business name (optional) and your trade; on our auto insurance pages, the number of vehicles
- anything you type in the “Anything else?” box
We use this to respond to your request, prepare a quote and follow up with you. The form includes this consent statement, shown below the submit button:
“By submitting this form, I agree that Rodgers Insurance Agency may contact me by phone, text message or email about my insurance quote request, including with automated technology, at the number and email I provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.”

Please don’t send Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers or payment information through the form. If we need sensitive details to finish a quote, we’ll ask for them by phone or in person.
Calls, texts, emails and office visits. If you call, text, email or visit us, we keep the information you share so we can help you. Our business phone system keeps a standard log of calls and texts (the phone number, date, time, and the messages sent and received).
Information collected automatically
How you found us (lead source). When you arrive on our site, a small script notes how you got here, for that browser tab only:
- campaign tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content), for example from our Google Business Profile, a Facebook post or a printed QR code
- a Google Ads click ID (gclid), if one is in the link (we don’t run Google Ads right now)
- the website you came from (its address and page, without search terms or other link details)
- the first page you landed on, and the page you sent the form from
This is kept in your browser’s session storage (not a cookie) and is cleared when you close the tab. It’s only sent to us if you submit a quote form, where it’s attached to your request as hidden form fields so we know which page or link brought you in. It’s never sent to Google Analytics, and it’s collected the same way whatever your analytics choice.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how our site is used. Unless you opt out, it sets cookies (usually named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and collects things like:
- pages viewed, and how far down a page you scroll (50% and 90%)
- taps on our phone number, quote buttons, and links to directions or Facebook (we see that a call link was tapped, not who called or what was said)
- when a quote form is started and when a request is sent, with the coverage type and the page it came from (never the details you typed)
- which FAQ questions are opened
- general information Google collects, such as browser and device type, screen size and approximate location (city or region)
Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and advertising storage is always denied. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data under its business terms; see Google’s privacy policy.
Hosting and security logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Analytics choices and cookies
How to opt out or change your mind:
- Choose Decline (opt out) on the notice, or select (also at the bottom of every page). After you decline, our pages don’t load Google Analytics and send nothing to it. To remove cookies that were already set, clear them in your browser settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out. Analytics stays off and we don’t show the notice.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no common standard for it, so we rely on GPC and your choice on our notice instead.

Text messages and your mobile number
If you agree to texts on our quote form, we text you about your quote request and the insurance help you asked for. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase. Details are in our SMS text message terms.
We don’t sell your mobile number, and we don’t share your mobile number or text opt-in with third parties for their marketing. Our texting provider handles messages for us only to deliver them.
How we use information
- to respond to quote requests and questions, and contact you the way you asked
- to prepare quotes, and help you apply for and manage insurance
- to see which pages, towns and links bring people to us, so we can improve the site and our local outreach
- to keep the site secure and working
- to meet legal, regulatory and insurance-company record-keeping requirements
We don’t use your information for ad targeting, and we don’t sell it.
How information is shared
- Service providers that work for us: Google (quote requests are sent through a Google Apps Script form handler and saved in our agency’s Google account; Google Analytics, unless you opt out), our texting and phone provider, and our hosting provider. They process information for us under their business terms.
- The insurance companies we represent and their affiliates and service providers, when you ask us for a quote or apply for coverage, so they can quote, underwrite and service your policy. This may include consumer reporting agencies used for insurance quotes.
- When the law requires it, for example to respond to a subpoena or a regulator, or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- If our agency is sold or transferred, to the new owner, who must follow this policy for information already collected.
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own advertising or marketing.
Insurance company privacy notices
Information collected to quote, apply for or service an insurance policy may also be covered by the insurance company’s own privacy notice, and by federal and Tennessee insurance privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. When you become a customer, you’ll receive the insurance company’s privacy notice, which explains how it uses and shares your information. If this policy and the insurance company’s notice differ about policy information, the insurance company’s notice controls for that information.
How long we keep information
- Quote requests: as long as we need them to follow up and serve you, and as long as the law, the insurance companies’ rules or insurance record-keeping requirements require.
- Google Analytics data: deleted automatically after the retention period set in Google Analytics. Reports only show totals.
- How you found us (session storage): cleared when you close the tab.
- Your analytics choice: kept in your browser until you clear it.
How we protect information
We limit access to quote requests to agency staff who need them, and send form data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No website, text or email is perfectly secure, so please don’t send Social Security or payment numbers through the form, by text or by regular email.
Your privacy rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy
- correct information that’s wrong
- delete your information, unless we’re required to keep it (for example, insurance records)
- stop contacting you by phone, text or email. You can also reply STOP to any text.
To make a request, call 615-562-5100 or email us at dustin@rodgersinsagency.com. We’ll verify who you are before we act, and we’ll respond within 45 days. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
Tennessee residents. The Tennessee Information Protection Act (TIPA) gives Tennessee consumers certain privacy rights. It applies only to businesses that meet certain size thresholds, and it exempts some financial and insurance information, so it may not apply to our agency. We honor the requests listed above either way. If we deny a request, you can appeal by calling us or replying to our decision.

Children’s privacy
Our website is for adults shopping for insurance. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other sites, such as Google Maps and Facebook. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for how they handle information. Our accessibility statement explains how to get help using this site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or practices change. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and, for important changes, post a notice on the site.
